Department of Hindi

Hindi has been given the status of Official language in 1950 by our constitution and it is allowed as standard language in offices. Now a day, Hindi is being used in various programs, conferences, news papers, Radio and Television centre, govt. offices, invitations, advertisements, educational institutions etc. At present (times), Hindi has become the medium of education in Hindi speaking states and it is taught as a second language in other states. Now Hindi has the tendency (potential) to become medium for other subjects like psychology, sociology, economics, geography, physics etc. It is also being used in computer education. For this reason opportunities of employment are increasing in this sector.

MA (Hindi)

MA in Hindi or Master of Arts in Hindi is a 2-year Postgraduate Degree course. The course consists primarily of the study of Hindi Literature, Linguistics, and Philosophy. A degree in Hindi can help students get jobs in various fields such as, Journalism, Teaching in school as well as colleges, Content Writing, Proofreading etc.

Eligibility: -Graduate with 50% in English Literature or 50% in any stream

Duration: -2 years
