Department of Library and Information Science
The Department of Library and Information Science was established in this college in 2013 with B. Lib. & Info. Sci. and further M. Lib. & Info. Sci. was started in 2014.
The main objectives of the department are as under:
- Contribution to the essential knowledge, skill, and values of librarianship and information professionals through research, education and outreach.
- To promote a recognition of the interdisciplinary, service-based, and user-focused nature of the profession.
- To inculcate evaluative and analytical skills among the students to respond appropriately and precisely to future changes and challenges.
- To Produce Competent, value-oriented, dedicated information professionals.

Master of Library & Information Science
Master of Library & Information Science is a postgraduate course that incorporates the advanced study of principles and practices of library & information science along with the current technologies applied to these processes.
Eligibility: - B.Lib With 50% Marks stream
Duration: -1 year
Bachelor of Library
Bachelor of Library Science degree is awarded after one year of study, divided into two semesters. The number of semesters may vary between institutions. The award can be abbreviated to B. Lib., B.Lib.Sc. or B.L.I. Sc (for 'Bachelor of Library and Information Science.
